Terry is becoming more and more sadistic in his treatment of Bridget, which means, of course, that any thing less than perfection will result in her torture.

Of course, her master has decided that “does badly” means any thing less that straight A’s. She has already been whipped several times by Terry, for other reasons.

If she fails a classes it is his intention to sell her to the Culinary school. Bridget is not aware of the full details of this. She is aware that she will be tortured if she does badly in classes.

Terry has made it clear to Bridget that if she doesn’t do well in class, she will be punished.

Bridget was not enrolled in ECC when her mother was roasted, however, she was aware of the event.

Ironically, Sharon Rooker, Bridget’s mother was one of the slaves bought for the culinary school’s use.

This information did not set well with the Culinary school. They were convinced that they should be allowed to use student slaves that violated some ECC policy or rule as practice roasts.

Mr. Hawks did make it clear to the administration of ECC that Bridget was not to be snuffed as part of any ECC activity.
